The head of the department of Chastity and Hijab of the Northern Xorasan said that, this year, through the Week of Hijab and Chastity, more than 100 pivotal programs will be held by the religious and cultural institutions in the province.
As reported by the public relations of Xorasan Seminary, yesterday afternoon and in the news conference of the Week of Hijab and Chastity, Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Hojjat Salari Makki commemorated the 12th of July, the anniversary of what happened in Goharshad Mosque and the Day of Hijab and Chastity. He said that the foundation of hijab and chastity of the North Xorasan was launched by the people last year with a content-based approach to co-operate with governmental and cultural institutions in charge of hijab and chastity.
He added that the focus and approach of the foundation to promote hijab and chastity in the society are positive and persuasive activities. He added that paying more attention to the zeal and decency is the support of the chastity and hijab, and the policy of the foundation, too, is content-related and non-governmental in this regard.
Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Mr. Salari Makki who is the secretary of the foundation of hijab and chastity of Northern Xorasan emphasized the avoidance of isolated work in the area of hijab and chastity. He said that, last year with the co-ordination of various non-governmental organizations and institutions in the area of non-governmental and content-based activities, we were among the top five provinces, and we try to repeat that this year.
He declared that we must work in the field of hijab and chastity in a network and teamwork way and avoid isolated and boastful activities.
Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Mr. Salari Makki said that, in the Week of Hijab and Chastity this year, more than 100 pivotal programs will be held by different organizations of the provinces. He added that one of these programs will be holding a major conference on the protectors of family privacy that will be held on the 15th of July on the same day as the birth anniversary of Hazrat Masoumeh (as) and the Girls Day.
He mentioned the followings as some of the programs for the Week of Hijab and Chastity: setting up a campaign on hijab and chastity discourse, contest of designing hijab-having puppets, hijab and chastity painting, book-reading competition centered around the book “Targol”, and hijab and chastity workshops in various institutions.
