The Nineteenth Specialized Conference Of Kalame Seva Was Held

In this conference, Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Seyed Mahdi Naji, an international affairs expert of the office of the Supreme Leader in the Ferdowsi university, initially talked about the importance of interfaith dialogue in the contemporary world and the existence of different types of religious dialogue. He said that interfaith dialogue does not necessarily take place in the form of official meetings between elites but can also be done in the context of the lives of people and in informal forms.
Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Mr. Naji then elaborated on the need for ethical interest in interfaith dialogue and in this context, citing practical examples, talked about the precise and deep attention of the inter-religious dialogue audience to the participants in the religious dialogues in the field of verbal and non-verbal communication and things like speech tune and speed, facial expression, and body language.
Then, Hojjatul Islam wal Muslimeen Mr. Naji pointed to the necessity of equipping people active in the field of interfaith dialogue with sufficient knowledge of religious resources of theirs and of their interlocutors’ in interfaith dialogue. In this context, he used a practical example to refer to the issue of authenticity of the Bible and the Holy Quran and explained the necessity of using the accepted beliefs of the other party during the interfaith dialogue.
After that, he accounted refraining from focusing on minor issues and the need to focus on principles and theoretical foundations of religion as one of the most important points in interfaith dialogue.
It is worth mentioning that the series of specialized meetings of Kalame Seva are held weekly where the think tank is placed on Imam Khomeini (ra) street by the think tank of Islam, Religions, and Intercultural Relations of Xorasan Seminary.
