Ayatollah Sobhani emphasized on the amity between Iran and Islamic countries.
As reported by the public relations of Xorasan Seminary, in a meeting with Ayatollah Qazi Askar who is the representative of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution and the head of the Iranian Hajj mission, Ayatollah Sobhani mentioned the success of Hajj mission in holding Hajj and said: unfortunately, some people were looking for stopping Hajj, and if it happened, we would not have Hajj again or it would be more difficult.
This Marja noted the necessity of Iran keeping its amity with Islamic countries and added: one of these countries is Egypt because it is a country which possesses important scientific centers containing Al-Azhar university. Such relations must be kept away from commotions.
He said: the second country is Saudi Arabia and two important cities of Mecca and Medina. There are thousands of guests in these two cities, and we must keep up the amity as much as possible and should not do anything disaffecting the relations.
Mentioning the essentiality of the relation between the host and the guest in order to hold Umrah, he added: Imam Ali (as) said: “Hajj must not be stopped”, and even the fourteen innocent ones (as) tried their best to perform Hajj on foot, and this is the importance of Hajj.
