The director of Xorasan Seminary emphasized that the indicators of being up-to-date and planning the subjects meant by the Supreme Leader the output of which is meeting the needs of the day are adopted.
As reported by the public relations of Xorasan Seminary, Ayatollah Ameli met with Ayatollah Ashrafi Shahrudi during a visit from the Office and the Center of Islamic Research, referring to the interpretation of the Supreme Leader who considers ijtihad and growing up mujtahids as the basis of working in seminaries.
Referring to the efforts related to ijtihad towards the students’ studying especially in the Xarej level, he considered the philosophy of ijtihad as an answer to the problems occurring and the questions of the day. He stated: According to the Supreme Leader, this answering should be in the government, the society, and the international community.
Director of the Xorasan Seminary, arguing that in the words of the Supreme Leader, seminaries should focus on this issue and for example, enter in financial and banking matters, and the experts must determine the social and financial tasks of the people.
Ayatollah Ameli stated that the Supreme Leader considers the up-to-date ijtihad as responding to the international community and pointed out that he considers intellectual sciences as the theoretical support of Islamic thought.
Referring to the great emphasis of the Supreme Leader on paying attention to Quran and the itrat, he considered issues such as political doctrines as another matter on which the Supreme Leader emphasizes because, today, the seminary students cannot be separated from it.
The head of Xorasan seminary referred to the fact that good measures have been done on evolution and said: The special scientific circle shaped in Dars-e-Xarej of Ayatollah Ashrafi Shahrudi is very good, and it is an example of accompanying learning with researching which is really a model, and team research helps the capacity and scientific resulting.
He continued: In addition to the establishment and activities of schools of literature, jurisprudence, Quran, wisdom, and … we are looking to create a school of cyberspace and up-to-date technologies, and in fact, the indicators of modernity and planning the subjects meant by the Supreme Leader the output of which is meeting the needs of the day are adopted.
The director of Xorasan Seminary stated: In this regard, studying and researching the lifestyle in the form of a research and educational circle has been given to the Sisters’ seminaries.
In addition to identifying and organizing those who are superiorly gifted, excellent, and elite, one of the other evolutionary tasks is the recognition and utilization of the students who are less known in seminaries. It has been tried to link them with various scientific research circles.
